Ah shit I had a backbreakingly stressful day at work and thought that there was no way I would get a M-M-Mechanic Monday in today but then I was dicking around on Twitter and jokingly invented the reverse draft and that’s enough to scrape together an entry so here we goooooo!
Reverse Draft
In GREEM, each player starts with a private hand of cards, simultaneously selects one to form a Cache, and then passes that Cache to their left. Upon receiving a Cache, players select another card from their hand to add to the Cache, and pass the Cache to their left again. This proceeds until players have one card remaining; these are then put to the center, where they form their own Cache.
So I’m picturing runs and sets and Sushi Go chopsticks and combinations that you can reveal for points and maybe even rummys? It can be competitive or more interestingly coop. Lots of options here. Reverse draft!
